Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters Will Include Six Platinum Trophies On PlayStation 4

Six separate trophy lists posted to the video games database Exophase have revealed that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters collection coming to PlayStation 4 this week will include one trophy list for each of the collection’s six Final Fantasy games. As such, a total of six platinum trophies will be available through the collection.

It is not uncommon for a compilation release such as this to consist of several individual trophy lists as opposed to one all-encompassing list and platinum. For example, the Kingdom Hearts: All-In-One Package, also published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 in 2020, consists of several trophy lists — and, accordingly, several platinum trophies — with one for each of the Kingdom Hearts titles included in the package.

In total, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters compilation on PlayStation 4 will contain a grand total of 189 trophies, which is the same number of achievements available for all six Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters on Steam combined. The achievements and trophies are the same across the board: for example, the trophy list for the Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster on PlayStation 4 is identical to the achievement list for the Final Fantasy 2 Pixel Remaster on Steam.

In case you were curious, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster with the least number of trophies is Final Fantasy 1, which includes a maximum of 24 trophies. Final Fantasy 5, with a grand total of 39 trophies to its name, has the most trophies of all six. For comparison, the PlayStation 4 port of Final Fantasy 9 contains 52 trophies, while Final Fantasy 8 Remastered, released for the PS4 in 2019, consists of 35 trophies total.

At launch, each of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters on PlayStation 4 will be sold separately (and in a six-in-one digital bundle) through the PlayStation Store. The pixel remasters will also be available to purchase separately through the Nintendo Switch eShop on the same day as the release of the physical collection, although given the Nintendo Switch’s lack of an achievement system, suffice to say there will be no trophies or achievements available for the games on Switch.
