This position will work with our Communications team to provide assistance in areas of designing press releases, emails and other communications, as well as meeting scheduling, budget reporting and goal tracking. This is a remote position and the ideal candidate should live within the six states of our SW region – Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. Responsibilities Some of the responsibilities will include: Develop, edit, and occasionally craft press releases, emails, and various communication materials for internal and external purposes, with the opportunity to contribute to media outreach efforts. Plan for anticipated needs and manage media tracking for Association records and sponsor return on investment, including managing vendor relationships and contract, and working with Communications Directors to ensure accurate and timely media reports are provided for internal and external use. Keep state websites current, and aid in occasional social media posting for region accounts, and contribute to content creation for core events. Support Marketing and Communications staff with budget reporting. Manage goal tracking and reporting, coordinate departmental meeting schedules and assist in preparing directors for meetings they will be leading, handle payment of departmental invoices, and assist Vice President of Communications with travel and calendar arrangements. Maintain comprehensive notes to aid Marketing and Communications Directors, assisting in identifying next steps during support for marketing and communications campaigns and gathering necessary materials as required. Provide or arrange for department-specific training for directors on internal and external systems. Work with Communications Directors to track and manage local market communications budgets. Collaborate with the Region Sr. Marketing Communications Director to oversee, identify, and execute marketing and communication tasks for 17 markets across five states. Take on project management responsibilities, occasionally designing proposals, and providing support to other Marketing and Communications staff within the region as required. Organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Results driven with the ability to multi task, prioritize, self-start and work collaboratively with a team. Writing and editing experience preferred. Ability to lift and/or move objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving. Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and extensive spreadsheets. Experience with Canva and other design tools preferred. Compensation & Benefits The expected pay range will be $20.70 to $26.50 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
