BEIJING : Chinese stock exchanges do not limit share selling and only carry out regulatory measures on abnormal trading activities of certain institutions, the securities regulator said on Thursday. The Chinese Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) was responding to a media report that suggested that China had banned major institutional investors from reducing equity holdings at the open and close of each trading day. CSRC said it would guide exchanges and financial futures exchanges to improve regulatory standards for abnormal trading.
