Missouri Partnership announced today that Janelle Higgins, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, has been selected to head the Partnership’s Marketing & Communications team.
In this role, Higgins will be responsible for shaping Missouri Partnership’s overall marketing strategy, overseeing branding, messaging, advertising and media relations focused on elevating Missouri’s image as an unrivaled place to live and work.
“For the past eight years, Janelle has been an invaluable member of our team and a tireless promoter of Missouri’s story, including leading the announcement and promotion of many of Missouri Partnership’s largest projects,” said Subash Alias, CEO of Missouri Partnership. “Promoting her to lead the Marketing & Communications team was the natural next step for her and the Partnership at large, and I look forward to seeing her have an even greater impact on the state in her new role.”
Higgins joined Missouri Partnership in 2014, working extensively on marketing, business recruitment and business development projects, encompassing the entire scope of the Partnership’s work. Before heading the Marketing & Communications team, Higgins directed media outreach, video and visual strategy and public relations for Missouri Partnership.
Key accomplishments include leading a website redesign project, heading announcements for Missouri Partnership’s largest projects – including the recently announced Meta, AFG and James Hardie projects – and the development of a lead generation program that led to numerous active projects.
“Working with my colleagues and our partners across the state to promote development within Missouri has been a privilege,” Higgins said. “I look forward to taking on this leadership role, building on the incredible momentum Missouri Partnership has built over the years and taking our work to the next level by further elevating awareness of Missouri and the incredible opportunities our state has to offer.”
Prior to her role at Missouri Partnership, Higgins spent several years working in television news throughout the Midwest. She was a reporter and anchor at WJFW in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, a producer at KOLR-10 in Springfield, Missouri, and a host and producer at STL-TV in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a specialization in television and radio.
