OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Baked Goods from Heaven, located at 45 Seneca Street in Oil City (at the former Tipsy Chef location) is proving that local business can succeed and grow in the Oil Heritage Region.
Heaven Daugherty first opened Baked Goods from Heaven as a cottage business, making fresh baked goods from her home, in January of 2022. She was experiencing a mid-life crisis, she said, and left a job she hated to start her own bakery.
The company grew over the first year to the point that she was able to hire two of her friends who also left the same corporation.
“We make everything. We do custom cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. We do everyday items,” Daugherty explained. “Our brownies are huge. We use only Ghirardelli chocolate.”

“We have Samoa bars. We have cookies galore. We make homemade bread of all kinds and flavors,” she added.
Baked Goods from Heaven opened its Seneca Street location in January of this year. The bakery offers a place for customers to come it, sit down, get comfortable, and enjoy some freshly-made treats.

“We started with an average from-your-house oven. It was on from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day. Now, we have a double convection oven.”
Growth for Baked Goods from Heaven continues as a second location is about to open at 19 South 5th Avenue in Clarion Borough, near Veteran’s Memorial Park. The Clarion store is slated to open its doors on Wednesday, August 16, and will create a job for one more employee.

The bakery will produce its goods out of the Oil City location and will deliver to Clarion daily.
