As technological advancements are made, many sectors are affected, including finance. The Idaho Department of Finance is looking to stay at the forefront of emerging tech.
Fifteen industry leaders have been appointed to the department’s Emerging Technology Advisory Committee (ETAC) to serve as the advisory arm of the Department of Finance’s Financial Innovation Lab (FIL).
Committee members hail from across the state and country and will assist the department “in understanding, developing solutions and frameworks, and applying Idaho values to technological innovations in the financial sector.”
Along with the new committee members, Edward Vasko, director of Boise State University’s Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity, has been named as the inaugural chair of the committee.
