Gaming insider says we will see a lot of multiplatform Switch 2 announcements in next 12-18 months
Video game insider Tom Henderson, who has a good track record when it comes to leaks, has stated on the social media platform X that Nintendo fans should expect to see a lot of trailers mentioning “Launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC” for third-party games in the next 12-18 months. It is still not clear when Nintendo is planning to announce its long-awaited follow-up to the Nintendo Switch family of systems. It is thought that the Switch 2 will be revealed sometime early next year.
Really excited for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its tech.
We’ll see “Launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC” a heck of a lot in 12-18 months.

The question is , will we see all the big triple A titles and are they full multi platform or ports/cloud streaming or just indy games and lighter graphical games like Hollow Knight ect. Wich is a great game btw , actually far superior to the latest Metroid for example.
If it can handle it all than it will be more intresting to buy a Nintendo again.
We can only speculate for now but it’s almost certain that at the very least PS4/Xbone-tier AAA will be able to run natively on the new console. That alone is a LOT of 3rd party support for a Nintendo console.
My prediction is that 99% of Next-Gen (PS5/XboxSeries-tier) AAA Japanese games will run natively on Switch 2 (Capcom, Koei-Tecmo, Sega, and most Square-Enix titles).
Those games are 10 years old so already played those. It’s only intresting if you don’t have to buy 2 consoles just to play a few Nintendo games + everything else thats new. For example Nintendo has not gotten a main entry Final Fantasy since the Snes or ever gotten GTA. Or games like Dark Souls , Elden Ring. You get the point , just big titles that are released on every platform except Nintendo.
That’s why you have a Nintendo console + Gaming PC. Problem solved.
Anyway I mostly care to play games (AAA/AA) from Japanese companies and if Switch 2 can run 99% of those natively, then I’m sold already.
not even close to being better than dread but go off i guess
The problem is that it’s all very well that the new switch ( or whatever it’s gona be called ) will be able to handle the triple AAA games that developers have so far not bothered to bring to the console due to power issues and the scaling down etc that’s needed, but again time is moving on and developers will be pushing the ps5/Xbox again, even more so now than the last couple years, so we’re gona be in the same boat again.
I can see some other games like red dead 2 coming to the switch 2 possibly and there will be several releases, but 3rd parties will have to work hard again to alter for the switch 2 versions compared to the latest ps5/Xbox versions.
It makes no odds to me as I have a ps5, but I rarely play it. I buy Nintendo because I love Nintendo games!
I always buy the new console when they release a slim version , this gives you a good amount of games for 10-30 bucks. Each gen of PS easily provides 50 top tier titles rated 9-10 everywhere that aren’t worse than lets say Mario and Zelda often even better.
Also Nintendo hasn’t released a real Metroid game since 2007 , same can be said for most of there franchises. Mario is always pretty much the same and not really intresting anymore. So this mainly leaves Zelda. Since the Wii there’s like 5 games that are really intresting and thats it.
awful bozo take, dread is literally the best in the franchise and the mario franchise is doing the best it has been in years
get better taste
“They haven’t released a REAL game in this franchise because I SAID SO”
You sound like a baby.
The only thing I’m sure of is that switch 2 doesn’t exist… Nintendo has never taken a concept as is by just adding a more powerful chip so these “leaks” are very unreliable….
Nice. I do hope I can play Elden Ring on the go. Looks like it was what I wanted from Tears of the Kingdom.
you were expecting elden ring from tears of the kingdom? how brainless are you?
I was expecting better dungeons in an open world. Simple as that. No need to get rude.
I remember up to the Wii era that this was common place(getting games across the 3 big platforms).
I’m hopeful that while not EVERY game will be Switch 2 available, that maybe devs will optimize most of their games
