Innovation was on display this week as LaunchTN invited leaders from across the state to gather in Nashville. “Tennessee has extraordinary successes that we want to share,” Launch Tennessee CEO Lindsey Cox said. “We want people to understand all the ways that investment in innovation can be transformative and strengthen the state’s economy.” Innovation Week focuses on areas where innovation, commercialization and advocacy intersect. Thursday we virtually celebrated innovation and entrepreneurship. As part of that, we are highlighting our Network Partners, whose work elevate entrepreneurship across the state. We’re also highlighting Startup Tennessee, a hub for showcasing and sharing Tennessee’s entrepreneurial resources. The Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium is working to provide commercialization and technology transfer support for The University of Memphis, Tennessee State University and Tennessee Tech University. The new collaboration aims to foster innovation, democratize access to commercialization support for novel technologies, and streamline commercialization of university-based innovations across Tennessee. TTAC can help faculty researchers, university affiliated entrepreneurs or students commercialize their technology.
