Minnesota DNR Looking Now To Fill 200 Paid Summer Internships We may have just received our first weekend of snowy weather in the Northland, but now is the perfect time to think summer by making plans with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. They have the perfect way to get outside this summer and get paid to do it, and the application deadline is fast approaching. The Minnesota DNR announced recently that they are looking for “passionate and dedicated” students across the state of Minnesota who are interested in learning more about natural resource careers through a wide variety of paid available summer internships. According to the DNR, their summer interns gain valuable training, build meaningful experience, and share their knowledge and perspectives to help create a healthy, sustainable, and inclusive Minnesota. The DNR has a wide variety of internship opportunities throughout the state, including in fisheries, forestry, park operations, watercraft inspections, communications, and more. Interns work 20 to 40 hours per week and receive a competitive wage of $19 per hour. To be considered for an internship, fulfilling an academic requirement or receiving academic credit is required. Minnesota DNR interns can expect to work 20 to 40 hours per week and they are paid $15 per hour.
