Each internship role with Jacob Begin Basketball will have an in depth approach into the world of basketball. There will be weekly zoom meetings with prominent figures working in basketball from NBA Agents, Scouts, Players, Agencies, Coaches and more. This will give Interns the chance to explore, learn, and network with the basketball industry. These weekly zoom sessions will give interns the chance to explore and learn more about the different opportunities with the sports world. This provides a great scope of the many different fields and gives interns the opportunity to find their own interest. Our internships typically run from April to August. Our previous interns have moved on to work for large corporations such as Nike and Adidas. Other interns have moved into coaching and operations roles at University’s and High Schools and others have moved into the sports marketing and sports agency world. Basketball Operations (April to August) The Basketball Operations Intern will support all aspects of the Basketball Operations department with daily administrative and operational tasks, departmental projects, and other tasks as assigned. Ensure daily operations in the training facility run efficiently. Assist with executive needs, including reconciliation of expenses, escorting guests, providing rides, special reports and projects, video preparation. Provide transportation and logistical support for players and team personnel. Complete special projects from various departments, including basketball operations, video/analytics, and player development. While fulfilling tasks related to the internship, the intern is regularly required to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and drive. Other duties as assigned. Video/Analytics (Immediate Opening) The Video/Analytic Intern will support all aspects of the Video Department. With a focus on capturing video and completing edits through Nacsport software. Maintain and monitor video databases for all NBA, NCAA, and High School athletes. Assisting in any day-to-day operations of the Operations Department and/or the Player Development Department. Other duties as assigned. Player Development/Coach (Immediate to August) The Player Development Intern is a vital part of the organization’s basketball staff with a primary responsibility to provide assistance to coaches for on court drills and workouts. Set up and maintain training facilities and equipment at various locations. Assist in helping coaches run practices with our NBA, NCAA, and High School clientele. Other duties as assigned.
