Qatar Duty Free (QDF), owner and operator of all retail and food & beverage outlets at Hamad International Airport in Doha, is inviting highly experienced marketing professionals to fill the key new role of Vice President for its Marketing & Communications division. As reported, QDF continues to bolster its executive team, with a series of key appointments since September 2023. The most recent addition to its leadership team is Stuart Barnard, who has joined the company as Vice President, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Logistics. In September the retailer named two highly experienced sector executives to key roles with Grant Fleming joining as Vice President, Food & Beverage and Nuno Moreira as Vice President, Strategy & Commercial. Earlier in 2023, Thabet Musleh, formerly QDF Vice President, was promoted to his current role. The Vice President Marketing & Communications role is open to those with more than ten years’ senior management experience in all aspects of marketing, PR and corporate communications. Those with relevant experience in travel retail have a higher chance of securing the position. Candidates are required to have creative, strategic, analytical, organisational and personal skills, as well as a track record of project and change management. Other requirements include the ability to efficiently develop new concepts and strategy, and experience with sales promotions, ad creation and performance-based marketing deals.
