Pace Creative is a full-service marketing communications agency that specializes in content and digital marketing for B2B companies in North America.
Tell us about yourself?
I am the CEO of Pace Creative. I have been operating agencies since 2006. My first two agencies were production agencies: one was for B2B local businesses, and the second was for Fortune 500 B2B companies in regulated industries. The marketing projects I was taken on lacked strategy, were not performing and often time were left on shelves – never launched…
I founded Pace Creative in 2013 to support B2B client’s business growth. We do so by developing a holistic marketing framework. All of our work is founded on data and research – and we get results!
Our team at Pace Creative is performance-driven. We maximize the marketing budget and optimize results!
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Hire experts to fill your knowledge gaps. It sets your business for success. In addition, it saves lots of time and money.
Over the years I have mastered the art of hiring the right advisors and experts to support my vision and business growth.
What problem does your business solve?
What is the inspiration behind your business?
I like to contribute to my client’s business growth. I typically work in close collaboration with the executive team (ie. CEO, COO, CRO or/and CFO).
I help CEOs make their vision a reality by planning and executing strategic marketing initiatives. I also save CEO’s resources by keeping them focused and on track with marketing priorities to reach specific business goals.
My ultimate purpose is to advise a client so that I can make the biggest impact on their business by effectively using their budget and resources to get things done right the first time around.
What is your magic sauce?
We believe in planning and strategy. We onboard new clients with a strategic project. The way we document our customized strategic framework is unique and our strength. We also create an activation plan, SOP, coach/train and support any available marketing resources to ensure the successful execution of each of our marketing initiative. We are risk averse as an agency.
We believe in data, research and logic when making recommendations to our clients.
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
We want to remain focused on our niche.
We want to continue working with B2B clients that share our business mindset. They want to build a marketing legacy, and invest in marketing initiatives that get results.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
The jargon used in the industry.
They are a wide range of agencies. Few are niche and specialized. Many use jargon to get clients which leaves the client with no ROI and dissatisfied.
Lack of Marketing Expertise.
The issue is several folds:
Example 1: A client scheduled a meeting wanting to optimize their online presence. The 6 person sales team is focused on nurturing 300 leads, even though only a handful are qualified. The marketing department of 1 person is run by a communications manager that is focused on PR and social media on Instagram.
The client identified that the website was not designed or developed to perform online; however, the client thought that the way to proceed is to focus on the marketing tools and their web integration.
The CEO decided to hire a freelancer to deal with her online presence issues.
Example 2: A marketing specialist reached out as she has identified that the website was not optimized for SEO. The CAC (Cost of Acquisition) is $1,500.
They work with a HubSpot web agency that has ‘expertise’ in SEO and lead generation, and the CAC (Cost of Acquisition) is still $1,500.
The CEO hired an SEO specialist.
They are a wide range of agencies. Few are niche and specialized. Many just use jargon to get clients.
