Tata Consultancy Services has promoted Ashish Babu to Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Global Markets. He previously worked as Chief Marketing Officer for Europe & UK at the company. In his new role, Babu will lead strategic initiatives across North America, Europe, UK, MEA, Latam, Japan, ANZ, and APAC, to drive brand, reputation and growth for the company across various markets. He will also be directly reporting to Abhinav Kumar, Global CMO, TCS. Revealing the new position on his LinkedIn handle, Babu shared, “ I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Global Markets at Tata Consultancy Services! I’ll be leading strategic initiatives across North America, Europe, UK, MEA, Latam, Japan, ANZ, and APAC to drive TCS’ brand, reputation, and growth in diverse markets. Excited to collaborate with the incredible team and report to TCS’ Global CMO, Abhinav Kumar !” Babu’s stint with TCS covers over 15 years. Previous to this, he worked for Tata Sky Ltd as Head of Communications between 2006 and 2008. Before joining Tata Sky, Babu associated with Weber Shandwick as Head of Technology Practice from 2005 to 2006. Prior to his tenure with Weber Shandwick, Babu served for Hanmer MSL as Senior Consultant between 2004 and 2005. He began his career as Senior Associate at Burson-Marstellar since 1999.
