Red Hat’s Brand Experience and Communications team is responsible for simplifying, unifying, and amplifying the Red Hat voice to build awareness and engage audiences, both inside and outside Red Hat, all while safeguarding our global reputation.
The Brand Experience + Communications team:
+ Crafts bold and unified programs that define the Red Hat Experience and maintain the company’s brand consistently around the world.
+ Creates content that resonates with our audiences and encapsulates the authentic Red Hat voice.
+ Immerses our audiences in Red Hat’s portfolio, expertise, and perspectives.
+ Delivers multi-dimensional event experiences that aim to delight and connect people with our vision and mission.
+ Leads the charge in communicating Red Hat’s story, both inside and outside the company.
**For Summer 2024, the Brand Experience + Communications team is looking for an intern to join us in the following area:**
+ Editorial content team intern. The Editorial Team helps Red Hatters tell their stories in their own words while delivering a strategic mix of editorial content fueled by audience insights, editorial coordination, and a trusted network of contributors.
**What you will do**
**The Editorial Team intern responsibilities will vary, but may include:**
+ Content Creation: Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading various types of content for Red Hat’s editorial destination on redhat.com
+ Research: Conduct research to gather credible information and resources to support editorial content development.
+ Content Planning: Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and plan content ideas, topics, and editorial calendars.
+ Analytics and Reporting: Monitor content performance to develop editorial content insights and recommendations.
+ Content Promotion: Assist in outreach and promotion efforts.
**What you will bring**
+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.
+ Interest in fields like content marketing and journalism, or event planning and implementation.
+ Desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment managing multiple projects and priorities that change frequently.
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, collaboration and project management skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships across the company.
+ Customer-centric, user-experience focused
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
+ Broad experience with marketing campaign tactics
+ Self-starter, ability to work as a part of a team, and build relationships
+ Ability or flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, both digital events and in-person events
+ Team player with a flexible attitude and the willingness to contribute as part of a small, dynamic team.
+ Familiarity with social media and digital communications and the role they play in driving brand awareness, engagement, and traffic is a plus.
+ Proven ability to learn and apply new tools and concepts quickly.
+ Well-versed in the Google suite of office products, including Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
