**About the job**

The Red Hat Content Team is hiring a writer to be our flagship events programmatic lead for session and presentation content strategy. You will lead the effort to coordinate and curate virtual and in-person session content and presentations.

In this role, you will create and review content for global prospects and customers to help them solve complicated IT and business problems. You will work directly with Red Hat leaders and their teams to plan, schedule, and execute compelling and engaging content for both in-person and virtual events. You may also create, coordinate, implement, and share high-level corporate and specific product or solution materials and messaging.

As a team of content specialists, we advocate for a consistent voice across all of Red Hat. We are students of content marketing, digital marketing, translation and localization strategy, branding, community building, and open source technologies. We simplify and amplify the Red Hat voice, engage IT prospects positively along their entire Red Hat experience, and connect Red Hat content contributors, building awareness of the importance of quality writing and communication at Red Hat.

**What you will do**

+ Work with teams of subject-matter experts and creative professionals to plan, schedule, and execute engaging content sessions for virtual and in-person events

+ Review, understand, use, or contribute to foundational messaging and compelling presentation materials

+ Write and review marketing content, keeping it free of mistakes, inaccuracies, typos, and style issues using a style guide and content templates

+ Help plan, write, edit, track performance, and perform other tasks as needed on our Content Editing team

+ Help optimize our events session management processes.

+ Measure the effectiveness of projects against defined goals and larger marketing team goals

+ Consult with Marketing and Content team members to monitor performance and suggest improvements

+ Curate and share top-performing presentations and stories with marketers for amplification and reuse

+ Connect with content contributors across Red Hat to create consistent experiences for prospects and customers

+ Apply your unique skills and insights to take on passion projects that make Red Hat better

+ Be an advocate for the Red Hat brand and voice

+ Be a continual student of your craft and share your insights and ideas with others across the company

**What you will bring**

+ Relevant experience as an events coordinator, project manager, writer, or content strategist

+ Experience with public speaking

+ Experience with corporate messaging or materials

+ Experience with AP style guide

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and time effectively

+ Ability to understand and simplify complex information

+ Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environment

+ Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines, manage time effectively, establish priorities, and communicate expectations to stakeholders

+ Effective and persuasive communication skills, including public speaking expertise

+ Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, demanding environment

Recommended Skills

+ Experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Workfront, Google Analytics, Google Drive/Docs/Slides, Drupal, or similar systems and tools is a plus

+ Executive communications experience

+ Global experience (beyond North America) and multilingual candidates are a plus, but not required
