**Responsibilities**
The American Heart Association has a great opportunity for a **Senior Marketing Communications Manager** . This position can be home based.
The Senior Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for managing nationwide internal and external communications related to revenue generation strategies, campaign focus areas, and campaign results. This includes managing communication needs foEVPVP Development & Community Health including written summaries, correspondence, videos, presentations, and speeches for use in sharing strategies and results with key organizational stakeholders such as C-level executives and national volunteer board members. This role will collaborate with key departments to distill campaign analysis and other information as needed in support of executive and departmental deliverables. Serves as the point person for dissemination of relevant Development and Community Health information from national headquarters to region staff. Responsible for partnering with department leadership on a wide range of communications, staff trainings, marketing, research, and other departmental outputs as assigned.
**Essential Job Duties**
+ Manages and creates EVP communications. Delivers timely senior-level executive deliverables including scripts, presentations, correspondences to internal/external audiences, etc.
+ Collaborates with department leadership to ideate, design, and write presentations, communications, and collateral to accelerate adoption and understanding of national campaign strategies and position outcomes with organizational stakeholders including C-level executives and national volunteer board members.
+ Manages executive communications for department leadership including social media presence and speaking engagements that enhance the AHA’s reputation for fundraising campaign innovation.
+ Collaborates with department leadership on special projects including creation, support, and execution of national campaign trainings, quarterly department meetings, department staff recognition, and executive preparation for national board meetings.
+ Assists colleagues with writing, editing, and proofreading written materials, newsletters, and national campaign collateral for internal and external audiences including executive leadership, donors, volunteers, and volunteer board members.
+ Maintains department credibility across heavily matrixed environment by developing, forming and enhancing strategic relationships across the enterprise.
+ Incorporates key learnings from current events, business and nonprofit news, advances in science and technology, and other external trends to enhance communications deliverables including executive speeches, presentations, and strategic plans.
+ Oversees department’s internal SharePoint presence and identifies new communications vehicles and solutions utilizing modern technology.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related non-profit work experience
+ Five (5) years of experience in communications, marketing or fundraising/sales
+ Three (3) years of experience developing project plans and executing against deadlines
+ Ability to manage group processes, form and develop strategic relationships
+ Understanding volunteer and donor perspective within creation of materials
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills with bottom-line mentality
+ May be required to travel 10%
