Israeli Startups Set To Open R&D Hub In Bahrain

Start-Up Nation Central introduced 15 leading Israeli start-ups to significant business opportunities in Bahrain.

The non-profit organization that promotes Israeli innovation arranged for the startups to attend a joint event with the Bahrain embassy in Israel and Bahrain’s Economic Development to discuss opportunities to set up a regional R&D hub in Bahrain.

It follows the Abraham Accords, signed in September 2020, normalizing relations between the two countries.

“Today we learned about the amazing opportunities Bahrain offers Israeli tech companies. We are working to foster such collaborations that are the foundation for long-term relations between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Start-Up Nation Central’s VP of Innovation Diplomacy Yariv Becher.

“We are working to foster such collaborations that are the foundation for long-term relations between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain,” he added.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is offering low operating costs as well as significant labor subsidies that can benefit Israeli start-ups. The startups can provide technological advancements to Bahrain and make a huge impact on the economy and the overall level of jobs created.

“Every Israeli I know who has been to Bahrain has come back with a sparkle in their eyes, and those who went for business will tell you that Bahrain is business friendly and our work attitude is ‘tachles’ (Popular Hebrew slang for end purpose or goal),” said Khaled Al Jalahma, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Israel.

Start-Up Nation Central was founded in 2012 and connects businesses, governments, and NGO leaders from around the world with Israeli innovation. It offers Israeli innovators access to high-potential and previously inaccessible markets through highly customized business engagements.

In 2021 it partnered with the United Arab Emirates’ embassy in Israel to host business leaders and government officials at its first-ever conference dedicated to innovation and technology and promoting bi-national business cooperation .

Start-Up Nation has an easy-to-use, up-to-date, free platform for discovering and connecting with thousands of innovative Israeli startups.
