Xbox Showcase: Here Are The Key Announcements From This Year's Event! [VIDEO] - theGeek.games

Plenty of indie games were showcased during the recent Xbox Showcase. Here are the announcements you won’t want to miss. On April 29, Xbox held a presentation as part of the Xbox Showcase, the second conference of the year dedicated to new game releases. With only two months left until summer vacation, the company takes communication very seriously. A number of independent titles have been uncovered. Although we already knew part of the program in advance, the event still held a few surprises. The good news is that most of the games shown will be available on Xbox Game Pass, giving the Xbox on-demand gaming service extra exposure. This year, the studio moved every stone. He teamed up with the Triple-I Initiative, an alliance of several large independent studios. The latter aims to put low-budget games back into the spotlight. The group’s last and also first event took place just two weeks ago, where a lot of announcements were made. Without further ado, here are the top games to remember from the show! 33 Immortals The conference hit the headlines with the new trailer for 33 Immortals. This is the indie game that is sure to sell like sugar when it comes out. In fact, it has all the ingredients for success. It’s like Hades in its aesthetics but in a large-scale multiplayer format. 33 players go head-to-head against the same enemy in this cooperative “battle royale” until the objective is reached or all players die. Images of the frenetic gameplay of the game have now appeared, with the focus on teammates healing and helping each other. The studio also confirmed the date of the closed beta. 33 Immortals will be available from May 24, which means that the final release is not far away. Palworld Palworld is the phenomenon of the new year. While the excitement may have died down a bit, it will likely return quickly with the next update. The update brings a PvP mode to the arena, as seen in the new trailer. Your buddies and your opponent’s buddies fight each other while you control your character. This update will arrive in summer 2024. Centum The Xbox Showcase is an opportunity to discover a highly original game. Centum is an unsettling creation that exploits the excavation mechanic, all in a disturbing pixel art point-and-click. We love its graphics and its universe, although it remains a mystery. After the first trailer, we can’t say whether we’re scared or curious, but one thing’s for sure: we’ll be keeping an eye on this title because it’s so unique. It will arrive this summer. Fera: The Sundered Tribes While most games were simply a trailer, Fera got a gameplay sequence with commentary from the developer. The visual style of Fera’s world is a cross between Horizon Zero Dawn and Palworld, creating a unique and appealing mix. Although there is no word on a release date yet, we do know that the title will be available later this year. Dungeons of Hinterberg After a bit of a mid-show disappointment for Xbox, it’s back on track with a much-anticipated game. Dungeons of Hinterberg is one of those games that combines heritage and modernity. In this visual treat, you can take on the role of a young woman in the Austrian mountains. The game offers a typical adventure game with exploration, combat, puzzles and a huge social element. It was also revealed at the conference that the title will be released on July 18. The full presentation of the Showcase is posted below. The individual previews can be found separately at the link. Source: YouTube
